Director, Integrated Health Care Initiative (Hybrid Position)
Description of Duties and Responsibilities
The Integrated Health Care Program Director is accountable for designing and implementing the Integrated Health Care Initiative (IHCI), and its components and for providing day-to-day management of the IHCI Department.
1. Work closely with the Chief Program Officer (CPO) to create program plans that align with the mission and meet budgetary guidelines.
2. As the subject matter expert, lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of integrated behavioral health programming.
3. Provide program and project staffing leadership, oversee all program/project development aspects, and monitor progress toward completion.
4. Maintain and strengthen current collaborative relationships with providers, payers, institutions of higher education, and other stakeholders; seek out and build additional collaborative relationships.
5. Lead all the IHCI work, including all integrated behavioral health related trainings, consultation work to support transformation into integrated health care for practices, and the Behavioral Health Consultant Certificate Course.
6. Manage all IHCI contracts, regularly monitor progress, standardize procedures, review contractor reports, and addressing any concerns with the CPO.
7. Organize educational opportunities for providers, payers, organizations, institutions of higher education, and other stakeholders.
8. Lead the development of informational documents (e.g., white papers) on relevant topics such as integrated health care payment/financing, workforce development, systemic change/transformation, and specialty integrated behavioral health.
9. Work closely with Development to produce external content that promotes the Integrated Health Care Initiative.
10. Monitor progress on all IHCI programmatic components, ensuring timely completion of grant deliverables and adherence to budget. Oversee data collection for the IHCI, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
11. Work with the CPO and the evaluation department on planning, quality improvement, and all components of IHCI programming.
12. Lead efforts to secure funding, in collaboration with the development team, finance department, and CPO, to secure funding for the IHCI, ensure appropriate funding utilization, and report to funders.
13. Represent MHA of Greater Houston in the community at relevant local, statewide and national workgroups and committees.
14. Present at conferences as a subject matter expert on integrated health care as appropriate.
15. Contribute to success by accomplishing related duties needed to help fulfill the mission, drive the vision, and abide by the organization’s values.
Qualifications for Position
This position requires a Master’s degree in public health, healthcare management, or health-related field of study, plus a minimum of 5 years of health-related program management experience, knowledge, or experience in integrated behavioral health care strongly preferred within the Greater Houston region.
Supervisory Relationships. This position reports to the Chief Program Officer. Supervisory responsibilities as assigned.

• Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, less than 10% of the time.
Hours per day or week
This is a full-time hybrid position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with allowance for flexible scheduling. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Volunteer Positions
Court Peer Mentor – Veterans Treatment Court (Veterans Only)
A Volunteer Court Peer Mentor serves as a coach, a guide, a role model, and an advocate for the individuals in which he/she is working. A mentor encourages, guides and supports the mentee as they progress through the court process. Learn more about becoming a Volunteer Court Peer Mentor. This is not a paid position.
