The University of the Creative Arts Looks to Expand Campus Accommodation

After a period of public consultation, The University of the Creative Arts has submitted plans for a set of new student accommodation blocks to be built in Farnham.
The 'state-of-the-art' complex would sleep 252 students across three four-storey and two three-storey buildings. The plans also include communal spaces.
If accepted the plans would represent a huge rise in campus capacity, as currently the university can only provide 380 bedspaces to its students.
Vice Chancellor of UCA, Professor Bashir Makhoul said of the proposals, "UCA is incredibly proud to have been part of the Farnham community for the past 150 years, during which time both the university and the town have experienced many changes, including the growth and development of their strong creative reputations."
"Enhancing UCA's facilities plays an important role in maintaining our reputation as the leading university for the creative industries, and in continuing to attract talented students and staff to both UCA and the Farnham community."
